About MindUnwired

Creating Piilo, and watching the global conversation about screen time, led me to launch MindUnwired in early 2025.

MindUnwired is research, translated. What the science of attention, memory, creativity and connection actually says, and what it means for how we live and gather now.

It's thinking out loud, not fixes. Not "how to detox," but: what are we actually trading when we hand over our attention?

Our phones and apps were built, deliberately, to pull at us. So the responsibility isn't only ours to carry.

A quiet rebellion, if you want to call it something.

What we do

We make things you can hold.
Piilo, a place for your phone to rest. A little friction between you and your phone. Not a rule, a ritual.

We create offline bubbles.
Small gatherings where phones stay away and people stay present. So far piloted: writing bubbles, focus workshops for students and solopreneurs, and a thinking retreat in the Italian mountains. Sometimes being offline is easier together, with a playbook.

We share what we learn.
Research shouldn't stay in academia. The conversation about humans and technology is too big to stay between experts. That's why we're building Quiet Times, a monthly letter starting October 2026.

We listen.
Interviews, conversations, train rides, dinner tables. Noticing how people actually live with technology, before anything becomes research or a product.

MindUnwired started as a place to think. It's slowly becoming a place to meet. The world of MindUnwired and Piilo is friendly. Supportive. Curious. We go out into the real world, to see and smell and listen, and we bring what we find back to people.
