When Connecting People (and Disconnecting You From Your Phone) Actually Works!
Early in 2025, brilliant Interior Designer Kristine Böök-Paananen connected Piilo and Sari (Piilo Founder) to Pier 4 hotel in Katajanokka, Finland.
Here's what Kristine says about Piilo. Please note that photos alongside this story belong to Kristine.
"We got to test a Piilo - a lovely mobile phone home 'Where your Phone Sleeps' - at Sokos Hotel Pier 4 in Katajanokka, a hotel with stunning wooden architecture that looks like it was actually made for Sari's Piilo!
Piilo's modern, Scandinavian-style ceramic and wood mobile phone hiding place is a beautiful design object that gives you offline time. Piilo fits perfectly with the ideology of this hotel.
You are not alone if you are one of those people that gets stressed and annoyed by the constant need for attention from your mobile phone, and could do without the endless beeping and flickering. Piilo takes the problem away, for hours each day if that's what you choose. Piilo looks great, and works really well, at this hotel.
My own personal experience of Piilo is amazingly positive. Even the very first time I used it, I stopped checking my mobile phone unnecessarily and was reminded of that behaviour later in the day, too, even when Piilo was no longer there. I sense that my bad habit might just change. Piilo teaches you to think about the way you use your mobile device and gives you time to think while you charge your phone. And also makes it easier to find it at home.
Your brain and your whole body will love the peace, and the peace of mind that a Piilo gives you.

I also have a few pieces of these at my interior design studio, and I can show you live if you want.
